Best of... weekly photomanip features #124This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between Lareth and FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends Iardacil and SylwiaS , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.Best of... weekly photomanip features #124 by SylwiaS
We each get to choose 5 works that have made an impression on us from the past week. We do not base our choices on preference or friendships and we have never featured ourselves. We simply pick photomanipulations showing creativity, technique and quality at the same time, and are simply eye-catching. As we are also stock artists, we will only feature the works that give proper credits to stock artists.
Here are this week's choices, in no particular order:

The Best of April Visual Art!Now it's time for April 2009 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover! The Best of April Visual Art! by karemelancholia
Run by karemelancholia since February 2007.
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it!
Fave Fave Fave!
My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations.
Artists need to be supported.
So don't be shy!
Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not.
Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough
Don't forget to view the collections linked under the titles of each category!
And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month,
So I finally tweaked the journal to the I-like-it-level. It should work on most browsers (blame MS for no CSS3 support) and on most resolutions. I checked it on 1900-1024 and 1280-1024 and the results were satisfying. Whole development took some time but lets hope it'll last for few journals more.
From the other news I'll need some motivation to finally fulfill an idea i have for few months. I'm writting it now so next day I'll check my dA page I will remember I did a public commitment that my new work will be called 'eatenBy'. On the other hand I'm sure the process will go way faster as soon as I finnish all the necessary paintings.
Last but not least this time I'll start the features. The gems here are the ones I wanted to feature last year, but I was unable due to lack of subscription. They caught my attention mostly by creativity, skill mastery and some of them have touched me on an emotional level. Lets hope you enjoy them.
Happy New Year and thanks for your attention!
